About Youmir Laser

A Laser Manufacturer Built on In-House Engineering

Shenzhen Youmir Laser Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the R&D, manufacturing, sales and service of industrial laser equipment. Our team has worked with laser welding since 2010, and the company was incorporated in Shenzhen in 2012 to deliver complete laser application solutions to domestic and international markets.

Because the optical path, control software and machine structure are designed internally, we can tune equipment to a buyer's material, part geometry and throughput target — and support it for its full service life.

Buyer's Technical Guide

How to Specify the Right Laser Machine

Practical reference data our engineers use during application reviews — use it to shortlist a configuration before requesting a sample test.

Handheld Fiber Laser Welder: Power vs. Thickness

Typical maximum single-pass thickness for butt joints. Higher power also raises welding speed on thinner material.

Laser PowerStainless SteelCarbon SteelAluminum
1000 W≤ 3 mm≤ 2.5 mm≤ 1.5 mm
1500 W≤ 4 mm≤ 3.5 mm≤ 2.5 mm
2000 W≤ 5 mm≤ 4.5 mm≤ 3.5 mm
3000 W≤ 8 mm≤ 6 mm≤ 5 mm

Reference values only. Real penetration depends on joint fit-up, shielding gas, filler wire and surface condition — we confirm capability on your samples before you order.

Laser Welding vs. TIG Welding

  • FactorFiber LaserTIG
  • SpeedTypically 2–4× faster on thin sheetSlower, operator-paced
  • Heat distortionNarrow heat-affected zoneWider HAZ, more warping
  • Post-weld workLittle grinding or polishingFrequent grinding
  • Learning curveHours to daysWeeks to months

Pulsed vs. Continuous Laser Cleaning

The right source depends on whether substrate protection or throughput matters more.

Pulsed

Short high-peak pulses with low heat input. Best for molds, precision parts, thin coatings and surfaces that must not be marked.

Continuous

Higher throughput and lower cost per watt. Best for heavy rust and paint on steel structures where some heat input is acceptable.

Pre-Order Checklist for Importers

  • Confirm local voltage and plug standard
  • Share material grades, thickness range and joint drawings
  • Specify interface language and branding needs
  • Plan spare protective lenses and nozzles with the first shipment

FAQ

Questions Overseas Buyers Ask Us Most

Straight answers from our application engineers. Need something specific? Contact the team directly.

What types of laser machines does Youmir Laser manufacture?

We manufacture handheld and CNC fiber laser welding machines, YAG laser welders, pulsed and continuous laser cleaning machines, fiber laser cutting machines, mold repair laser welders, jewelry laser welders, and matching parts and consumables.

Can I test my own parts before choosing a machine?

Yes. You can send samples to our factory. Our engineers run welding or cleaning experiments and return a test report, process videos and a recommended parameter window, so you can confirm results before selecting a configuration.

Which handheld laser welder power should I choose?

As a general reference, 1000 W suits thin sheet up to about 3 mm stainless steel, 1500 W is the most common choice for mixed fabrication up to about 4 mm, and 2000 W to 3000 W are used for thicker steel and aluminum. Actual capability depends on joint fit-up, shielding gas and filler wire, so we verify it on your samples.

What is the difference between pulsed and continuous laser cleaning machines?

Pulsed laser cleaners deliver short high-peak pulses with low heat input, ideal for molds, precision parts and thin coatings without damaging the substrate. Continuous laser cleaners offer higher throughput at lower cost for heavy rust and paint on steel structures where some heat input is acceptable.

Do you support OEM and ODM orders for distributors and brand owners?

Yes. We support appearance and branding customization, function and software customization, automation system development and production line integration for brand owners, factories and distributors.

What after-sales support do overseas buyers receive?

We provide 24/7 online technical consultation, remote video guidance, fault diagnosis and software updates, and we support overseas agency services and on-site installation training.
